GETTING STARTED - WHAT ARE WORKBOOK , WORKSHEET , ROWS AND COLUMNS IN MICROSOFT EXCEL?

When you open Microsoft excel we see a workbook in which there is only one worksheet. if you want , you can add one or more worksheets into it. 

As you know an excel worksheet has vertical and horizontal set of cells. The Vertical set of cells are known as Columns and the Horizontal set of cells are known as Rows.

A single worksheet has 16,384 Columns and 1048576 Rows.
