You can use the RECTANGLE  command to draw rectangles in AutoCAD. 

The RECTANGLE command is available in the DRAW panel in the HOME tab.


You can also activate the RECTANGLE command by typing the word "RECTANG" from key board. As soon as you start typing it , the command will appear in the command line and you can click on it to activate(start) it.
