As we all know AutoCAD is widely used for drafting purposes. We basically have the GRIDS on drawing area which replicates a graph sheet, where we can draw the 2D drawings. By referring to the values at X and Y axis we can draw the drawings we need more accurately. We can literally end up with a better drawing.
The AutoCAD software lets you input the X and Y coordinate values just like we draw in a graph sheet.
So lets talk about the GRIDS. It is nothing but the vertical and horizontal lines you see in the drawing area. If you turn it off you can see a blank drawing area with no grid lines. You can turn off the GRID MODE once you finish your drawing and you can see your drawing in much more detail as the grids lines just disappear.
Although it is not recommended to turn off the GRIDS while you are working. Infact it is a difficult task if you turn it off while you work and you may waste your time figuring out how to draw.
Snap mode is one more drafting setting available in the status bar which you need to keep turned ON most of the time for a more accurate result of your drawing.
